Dear Band Director:

I have been teaching private lessons for lower brass students for over 35 years.  My students have consistently won seats in local, regional, and state band competitions, as well as jazz band festivals.  Most of my students have gone on to attend college with scholarships.  In addition, many of my students have become professional musicians, composers, arrangers, and educators.  My students learn the bedrock of success:  persistence, determination, positive attitude, organization, follow through, and striving for excellence. 

In addition to private teaching, I have been conducting clinics for band directors all over the country for the past 30 years.  When I work as a clinician I don’t just come by, say a couple of cool things, and go.  I work with you and your students in an in-depth way to solve problems with innovative solutions.  I am also available to work with you and your band as a coach for sectionals, rehearsals and concert preparation. 

My experience also includes serving as an adjudicator nationwide for concert band, jazz band, orchestra, and small ensembles.  I have a broad range of experience from playing and directing professionally to teaching at high school, middle school and college level.
